Speak Out Now praised by Ofsted
Speak Out Now praised as “excellent system” in the OFSTED report at Leesland
At a recent OFSTED inspection carried out at Leesland Junior school in Gosport, the schools anti-bullying policy was scrutinised and the OFSTED team identified that at Leesland:
'Bullying is a very rare event. When it does occur, pupils use the excellent (Speak Out Now) system for reporting and the issue is managed promptly and well.'
Leesland School was the first school to go live with the Speak Out Now reporting system. It is a feeder school to Brune Park in Gosport which has also now adopted the Speak Out Now system and has immediately reported positive effects of deploying it.
They have identified incidents from quieter pupils that would otherwise normally go undetected and they have used the system’s reporting tools and audit trail to evidence to parents’ satisfaction that incidents involving their child have been dealt with in a timely and effective way.
OFSTED praise Speak Out Now at “Most Improved School in the Country”
The Matthew Arnold School in Staines which received the accolade of Most Improved School in the country by OFSTED in 2008 were delighted with the feedback from the inspection team about their proactive approach to dealing with bullying and in particular the deployment of the Speak Out Now anti-bullying system.
Officials were impressed with the system stating that with this system deployed “no child will be lost" and awarding an “Outstanding” on the Pastoral theme.
The school delivers presentations to Year 7’s at its feeder schools and reassures them that they have nothing to fear from bullying when they leave primary school and attend Matthew Arnold for the first time because they will be able to use the Speak Out Now system for which they will receive their own secure log in.
